  Lovely cooked 4 steaks and 1 mixed grill all were perfectly cooked to our liking. Shame this will be our last supper as it is closing down

  The food was just ok, but being right on the river is really nice. You can walk along the waterway and over the dam after eating.

  Atmosphere great if your outside by the river, service is.. serviceable, polite but sometimes hard to find staff. Would recommend as a once a year thing if you want to do a nice river walk and stop for some cold drinks before going home.

  Its a real shame the place does not look as good as this picture. The food was good but the place was ran down dirty, rubish everywhere outside .. such a shame humans leave their rubbish instead of placing it in the bins and the staff where doing their best but there where dirty tables everywhere. I no the place is shutting down but there is no need to let standards go .

  We took a trip on the river from Maidstone & had lunch at the Malta Inn, I had fish & chips, the chips were warm & the fish inedible with rock hard batter. The many bottles of sauces lined up on the table inside were all empty, I asked a member of staff if there were any more and was told no, we were very disappointed. It was obvious the place was closing & the staff were loosing their jobs. I hope premier inn does better
