  Its nice to sit near the water in good weather. Sadly, their card machines were not working so we could not purchase anything without cash🤷‍♀️

  Evening meal wasn't too bad, but service was rubbish. Nowhere near enough staff. Breakfast was appalling. Vastly undercooked sausages, absolutely no colour on them at all. The rest was Luke warm. The whole place needs refurbishment. Outside is pretty grim and unkempt. Not been here for years, and I can honestly say, I won't be coming back anytime soon.

  What can I say from start to finish this place and its people have been wonderful had a lovely dinner here with my family the staff David, Toby and Jo honestly made our day. David was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu everything he recommended was bang on truly an experience person can’t doubt his recommendations were perfect he made our day such a lovely soul. Toby made us laugh honestly such a friendly and funny guy we haven’t laughed like that in a long time. And last but not least hats off to Jo who made our day as we were having trouble watching the match she went above and beyond to make sure we managed to watch it so thank you Jo you honestly have a lovely team of people. It’s such a lovely hidden gem definitely coming back whenever we are back in the area you guys were amazing.

  This review is for the goats of beefeater, David the magician, Toby the gentleman and jo the marvellous we're absolutely a delight and a sunshine to my day, there service and attitude was a breath of refreshment and needed in this world. If you are looking for S Tier service, S tier food and not but least S tier atmosphere then this place and the especially the 3 staff I mentioned is the place to be.

  I have never been so appalled at everything from the atmosphere to the service, to the food, I am sure what little good results the Malta get is because a small amount of those customers are just lucky to get good service, but you need to see and look at everything, not only did I have to clear the table myself from previous use, but all those items were still on the side where I left them an hour later when we left, there was only one person taking all the orders for drinks and food, and then having to make the drinks up too, even though there were three till points. While we were all waiting ages to get served, about 40 minutes I might add, a couple of people got served on another till but then that person who served them, left while we were still waiting. But after all that when we did get our food about half hour after finally getting served, the food was sub standard for the £48 we paid, I even had what they called crispy shredded beef, but it actually tasted like shredded cardboard if you can imagine that, because it was so dry and chewy that it actually hurt my teeth and mouth to eat it, me finally leaving about half of it there. This is not the first time this has happened, the Malta is in serious need of a makeover, and certainly needs new management, where is undercover boss when you need them!!
