  Had to wait ten minutes to be seated, as there was no staff available, eventually had to knock on the kitchen door to be served. Breakfast was bearly edible, save your money and go to Karen's diner on the "top road" Not impressed, never again

  Carvery, was very nice, plenty of tasty beef, great selection of vegetables only downer,roast potatoes were bland, better cooked in beef drippings.

  We had carvery (Sunday 26/07/26). We have been coming to the Honourable Pilot for carvery for the last five months. George was the carvery chef on duty again today and Kim was our waitress. George always asks how you are are and how your week has been, nice touch. Kim is just fantastic. Really down to earth, always smiling and enjoying a laugh at the appropriate time observed with all her customers. She also looks at value for money for the customers while discretely upselling. What a shame the Honourable Pilot Cookhouse & Pub will be closing early September 2026. Most of the staff seem very pleasant and happy to help you despite the over hanging forthcoming closure - a very hard thing to do, I have been there twice myself! THANK YOU TO THE STAFF!
