  Despite being extremely busy, which was completely understandable given they’ve only just opened this weekend, we had a lovely meal at Wagamama Thanet this evening. The staff were helpful & friendly, despite clearly being very busy. Our server, Trinity, was especially lovely & kept us updated about any delays with our food, which we really appreciated and she made sure we had everything we needed. The wait wasn’t an issue for us at all (we expected it with a brand-new opening) and were more than happy to wait, especially as we love Wagamama. The food was great & everyone was doing their best to make sure customers were looked after. A really positive first experience and we’ll definitely be back! Good luck Wagamama Thanet 🤩

  Absolutely awful... stsff have no idea what they are doing. We arrived at 6pm had a table booked for 6.15. Ended up not being seated until 6.30 6 of us at our table. Server didn't have a clue about the set menu which was advertised on my booking email and on the wagamamas online menu. We were told we couldn't order as 1 table so had to do it as 3 separate orders. Meals were very sporadic at arriving at the table with the last 2 meals (which were sides by the way) arriving after 90 minutes and after the rest of the tables had all finished eating. The kitchen seemes in absolut disarray. The staff were walking round with food not knowing which tables it was for. I asked 6 different members of staff for updates on where my food was and not 1 of them came back to me. I asked for the manager whi just smirked as he stated "we are backed up in the kitchen"..... but theu were still letting hoards of people through the door. Wagamamas westwood cross you really need to do better... much, much better!

  We were a table of 6 with a reservation and just before the busy dinner rush. The staff struggled to take our order, and didn't have a physical set menu available. This meant that we were waiting a significant period of time waiting to order. Once we ordered, our food came out in completely unreasonable time frames. We had some food come out after a 30 minute wait. That seems somewhat reasonable. Then we had another set of food come out with an hour wait, then another set an hour and a half after being ordered. So from when our reservation was set at 6:15, we had to wait for our table to be ready, and then up to an hour and a half for food. Half our table had finished eating and ordered another set of drinks before the last set of food came out. We asked the manager where the food was, and if the kitchen was struggling why more people were being allowed in. He said that they have to take as many people as possible regardless as to the effect it has on queue and wait times. Overall, very poor service, staff were alright but clearly not used to running something this busy. I would avoid that all costs!

  Excellent location, great food quality, and amazing staff. Shoutout to Alfie who was extremely polite and friendly whilst also professional and efficient. They have hired a super awesome team and got the food quality down to a fine art. The atmosphere is awesome and a great location in Westwood Cross.

  Visited with my family, the staff were really friendly, Amy sat us to our table and was really bubbly and welcoming. We were looked by Alfie who made sure we had everything we needed. All round postive experience with a great atmosphere. A good addition to the shopping centre!
