Went to Zizzi tonight having eaten in Birmingham branch many times. Service was ok although slow even though it wasn’t busy. Drinks ordered as same time as mains yet arrived after mains were served. We had 2 pizza’s. 1 gluten free which my partner said was ok and 1 standard Margarita with mushrooms which tasted not good at all. The sauce tasted old and the cheese was horrible and extremely grainy. I did tell the waitress when paid for and she said she would pass on feedback. If I’m honest it was the worse pizza I have even tried. Drinks I ordered were not available so 5 mins after ordering was asked if I wanted anything different. To sum it all up £47.00 for 2 pizza’s with a glass of wine and soft drink is shocking and would have expected greater value for the money. Really need to try harder in my opinion. Ian

Absolutely disgusting wouldn’t go back if you paid me, Firstly the toilets smelt like death and are filthy, secondly the service is extremely slow/poor. Furthermore the staff are abundantly rude we were served by VERCHELLE who actually put the device they use in my face to boldly ask me for a tip AFTER 1 pizza and a bowl of pasta and 2 NON alcoholic beverages came to £50! Not to mention no air conditioning or very bad air conditioning on a 34 degree day. I am never ever returning back to this god awful establishment and people wonder why hospitality is dying out. I will make a formal complaint against the staff member.

Restaurant was great. Staff were excellent at first but as the restaurant became less busy they became much less attentive. Nothing wrong just a shame after excellent service on arrival. Food was tasty from the summer menu and delicious cocktails

I went to Zizzi in St Albans because I had a special offer called “World Cup” that I really couldn’t miss. The offer meant you could get a main meal free if you had an Italian passport, as long as you also bought a drink. I went there with my husband, and since we both have Italian passports, we each got one main meal free and only paid for drinks and starters. I have to say, I’m usually not a big fan of chain restaurants that call themselves “Italian restaurants,” but the food was actually very good. I had the chicken and spinach calzone (which you don’t really find in Italy!), and it was very light and tasty. My husband had the salami and truffle pizza, which was also good, although I found it a bit too strong in flavour. But that’s just personal taste. The staff were also very friendly and sociable, which made the experience even nicer. In the end, we paid only about £30 including service because of the offer. Normally it would have been around £30–£40 per person. I’m not sure I would go back again, but I would still recommend it, especially if you like pizza or pasta.

Vichelle our server was simply the best! Visiting St Albans for a family celebration. I chose Zizi’s as I have a Tastecard, hoping to get a good deal. Unfortunately the card is not applicable on Friday Eve. Vichelle informed us of the Zilionaires app, to receive 30% of our bill, helped me download it etc. From start to finish Vichelle looked after us so well. Informative & attentive. Thank you Vichelle you made our visit to Zizi’s St Albans, a memorable one
