  Went to the white hart tap for birthday celebrations and was blown away by the service provided, particularly by the young chap at the bar James. He was very friendly, polite, attentive and sophisticated - really made our experience that bit more enjoyable! Excellent line up of drinks (the brooklyn IPA in particular was a revelation) and great attention to detail with paintings and pictures that celebrate St Albans’ history - will definitely be returning.

  We went for a lunch at the newly refurbished pub, the atmosphere/ music was lovely and we would recommend. The staff were attentive and friendly.

  Great little pub with a nice garden, a well kept pint of Tim Taylors and friendly staff. A favourite when I'm in St Albans 👍

  We live on the next street to the White Hart Tap and were really concerned when we heard it was under new management. But we needn’t have worried - it’s exactly the same, if not better. Great selection of beers and wine, no sport on TV and a really friendly landlord and staff. We now visit more often than we ever did before!

  Booked for lunch to be told just after 2pm that they’ve stopped serving food. Not enough bar staff either. It’s the Saturday of the Alban festival and it’s a sunny afternoon so I’d suggest it was going to be busy and this should have been anticipated.
