  We came here for my grandads birthday and had an absolute blast! We were greeted with smiles and superb hospitality right off the bat; even a birthday card was written from the staff and it was so appreciated. The food was to die for, I had the pie of the day which was perfect for this change in the weather but the specials looked just as good. It’s so hard to find good quality food in pubs but this place smashes it out of the park. 100% recommend!!

  Absolutely gorgeous meal; the mushroom pie is honestly outstanding. I have never experienced such friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend!!!!!!

  Lovely cosy pub! Our service by this lovely girl called Nia was amazing she was very chatty and smiley and engaging, she was very efficient! If you get Nia when you’re there you’ll a fab experience at the pub.

  Really nice pub. We had a drink outside in the beer garden first which was lovely and really spacious, then came inside for dinner. The staff were all really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Such a nice atmosphere and we had a great evening. Would definitely come back!

  I don't usually write negative reviews, but this had to be done. Firstly, the women who first welcomed us into the pub and found us a table was very nice, very polite and accommodating even though we didn't have a reservation. But the food was terrible. We ordered the Korean Burger and chips. The chicken was a very thin slice of chicken breast, it was over cooked and dripping in oil. There was a small dollop of kimchee which was ok, and the bun was dry and maybe old. All that came with it was some frozen McCains chips. The menu said skin on fries, these were not...I saw them with my own eyes when the chef carried a bag of frozen McCains chips to the kitchen, so please do not gaslight us! Secondly, I never usually complain in person for a bad experience, but I thought you should be aware of my feedback. So I politely asked one of your servers if you were open to feedback, and could I speak to the manager. She reluctantly said yes...but with a smile. When the manager came over, we stepped to the side, privately and away from any customers and I gave him my honest and calm feedback and review of the food. It was like I had caught a rabbit in the headlights, he literally had nothing to say, no apology, no empathy, not even an argument...just nothing. At which point I decided to put the guy out of his misery and just said "you can do what ever you like with that feedback" I didn't ask for anything in return. No discount on our meal, no voucher, nothing...I just wanted the establishment to have the feedback. Now, like I said I don't usually write reviews, but my wife left a very short review and your reply has actually infuriated me. You have taken no responsibility, you have gaslit her regarding the frozen McCains chips, and you have offended me greatly by saying that I "shouted" at your manager and did so in front of customers...that quite frankly is not only a lie...but I actually feel that your response to that (or at least the feedback that your manager gave who ever wrote that review) is a racial microaggression driven by implicit bias. There is no way that you would have said that I was shouting or being spoken to rudely, or upsetting other guests if I was a white person. Your response to my wife's review is a problem. Park your egos, take on feedback that was delivered respectfully and maybe you might have better food.
