They consistently don’t do their job properly — instead of serving customers, they stand around chatting to each other while queues build up. It feels like customers are an inconvenience rather than a priority. What made this even worse was seeing staff from the cafe next door go into tescos to buy items like vegetables when they’ve run out.The second time, one staff member (a woman wearing a headscarf) was told to “make a list and stop coming in so often” — and the way it was said was condescending and patronising, like she was being spoken to like a child. Given that she wears a headscarf, the tone felt targeted and uncomfortable, and it was genuinely upsetting to witness. This store is poorly managed, unprofessional, and has an unpleasant atmosphere. Between staff ignoring customers and the lack of basic respect shown, I avoid this Tesco whenever I can. One of the worst Tesco Express stores I’ve been to. Honestly so disappointed and upsetting.
