  Disgusting pharmacy. Stood there 30mins just to purchase medications from the shelf. Workers are horribly slow

  Today my mum was shopping at Tesco in Hertford. After she had paid for all of her shopping, she was stopped by a security guard who began searching through her shopping bags. It made her feel really uncomfortable, so she asked why she was being searched. His response was that she had been “walking around too much.” I’m sorry, but isn’t that what people do when they’re shopping? What exactly was he expecting her to do sit and wait for the shopping to come to her? Sadly, my mum can’t help but wonder whether she was singled out because of her religious clothing. Since moving to this area, we’ve experienced racism on more than one occasion, and hearing this today honestly broke my heart. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of how they look, what they wear, or what they believe. I just wish people would stop judging others based on prejudice.

  I shop at this Tesco almost every day. Today, while in a hurry with my 5-year-old, I bought some fruit at the self-checkout and then went back to grab wooden forks I had forgotten. As I left, a security guard shouted after me, demanded to check my bag, and made me go back for a receipt I didn't have. It was just fruit I had already paid for. The whole situation was unnecessary, wasted my time, and there was no apology or even a polite goodbye afterward. Very disappointing customer service.
