  Our first visit since the renovation. Ot takes 3 times as long to order the food than it used to take in the days of the long queues! Fish Finger Wrap when I say Fish Finger its a singular finger and a small one at that! A portion of chips was around 10 average small chips. Tables had not even been cleared and the poor chap serving was rushed off his feet but still smiled and was helpful. Children Eat Free - a good idea not! The nearby table looked like a massacre had taken place. Uneaten food scattered all around the table and the floor- what a waste and some poor sole had to clean it up! Tesco its time you got this right - its not rocket science!

  This ideally needs no star or minus. Absolutely diabolical, dirty tables and pots everywhere, the lad serving was trying his hardest clearing it all onto one table as didn't have time to take it to kitchen between serving customers who wanted to pay cash, help people with the self serve machines and making all the drinks for the customers, he really needed some extra help. Breakfast came out after a long wait, got drinks just before it came but others got food first before he could get the drinks out, I take my hat off to that fella. Onto the breakfast! Hash browns were frazzled but stone cold! Fried egg was solid, sausage burnt to a crisp same as the potato scone on one side, bacon looked ok but was also stone cold. When a lady who was bringing the food from the kitchen passed I mentioned the dissatisfaction with my breakfast and all I got from her was I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it and she walked off. I took this to the lad serving the drinks, he took one look at it and apologised profusely, I said it wasn't his fault at all and he asked if I wanted it replacing, I chose a refund and went and bought a meal deal. As I was waiting for my other half to finish his rock hard eggs which was served on the wrong toast and had to ask for butter several people were queuing returning the food that had been served to them.

  Cafe is equipped with modern self ordering menu ( I imagine to streamline staffing costs). From point of ordering until food arrived took over 25 minutes whilst drinks arrived promptly so were cold long before we were able to eat. Food, when it eventually arrived was of indifferent quality. It appeared that there were only two members of staff on duty, only one of whom was preparing food(extremely slowly!). The nature of a cafe like this is to provide rapid food and drink service to customers. This one is signally failing to do this. The store manager should address this speedily. There is no point in having this high-tech ordering system if the human element cannot deliver.

  It's something that the cafe now has ordering kiosks, so we can see all of the items that are out of stock- ie, most items. Ordered a toastie, latte and cake at lunch today. Coffee and cake arrived first, and server asked if I'd ordered food too. I said yes. A further 20 minutes passed before I gave up and asked where the toasties was. It arrived 5 minutes later. So, as I'm like most people and eat my savoury item before coffee and cake, the coffee was cold by the time I'd had the toastie. I noticed other people around me having similar issues, like a lady who had to ask multiple times for milk for her coffee. Terrible. Apart from the cold coffee the food tasted decent though.

  Firstly, we use the self serve screen and everything is sold out other than cold drinks. Which is fine, it happens. Then I order my £4.25 chocolate milkshake. I have had it before and it is lovely. Then we have to wait an excessive amount of time for said drink. When it does come out i was very disappointed. It looks nothing like the picture, missing the chocolate syrup and the whipped cream. The guy that handed me the drink literally told me he doesnt know what hes doing, which is okay but dont make it if you dont know how to do it!!!!!! Ask for some help!!!!!!! I paid £4.25 for a drink that was nothing like the actual drink i was expecting. It also just tasted gritty and lacking lots of flavour. I had to bin it after taking the first sip. I would have asked for a refund but the people at the till didnt know how to work the tills either!!!!
