  This store stocks a lot of local produce as opposed to generic stuff. Baked goods from the local baker, meat and tasty treats from the local butcher, jam that's local, local eggs... The list goes on! Yes, you pay a wee bit more, but you're getting quality goods that support local commerce and the community. It's far better than the generic stuff from a supermarket. Add to that the staff, who are absolutely epic, and despite the extra money, I've been happily buying here for ages. It's great to be able to get local products out of hours, and enjoy the very friendly service.
