  Love the refit, love the new menu. Fresh and filling and cooked amazingly. What a turn around this place has had!!!

  Telling my group to leave while playing our FIRST game of pool saying “if you don’t order a drink you’d have to leave”. As I am staring at the menu making my choice by the way. I didn’t know there’s a time span on which I have to force a drink inside me upon entry. It is truly embarrassing considering this is a place I come often and have spent alot of money on food and wine. For a place that is getting slow business this is definitely not how you approach customers who are actively spending money.

  Food menu is dull and boring and lacking variety compared the the last menu. Got a burger patty and it was flavourless and texture was awful, not a good quality burger. Also was there for about half an hour before ordered food and not long after ordering was told to move as there was a booking for where we were sat, my elderly mother then had to move to a bar stool as that was all tha was available, which was not ideal at all. We managed to wait for our food and tried to eat what was slightly decent from it and not one person turned up for that ‘booking’. Overall not impressed with the food and the way staff handle some things, I blame the new owners nothing on the staff that were in that day, just under very bad new management.

  Friendly little pub. Good roast dinner for what you pay, pretty good service and atmosphere with friendly regulars.. Only been twice now but will be back

  Hi I went to the most recent karaoke night on Tuesday and wanted to say how good the management are at the Hatfield tap the staff are super friendly and welcoming I will definitely be coming back weekly it’s such a good vibe. I have seen the pub go from being very rough and unsafe for women to being an inclusive place for everyone and as a woman that is so promising. Props to the management especially James and Laura for making our local pub safe for everyone it is now my regular and is my new favourite . Also, I just wanted to mention the karaoke host Duane flames for bringing the vibes with Tuesday karaoke nights he’s funny and makes the night even better.
