  At around 6pm this evening when using the self check out service and packing our shopping we were approached by a member of staff still in their uniform who was not working but paying for his own shopping and proceeded to keep asking us if we were having problems scanning an item and accused us of putting it in the bag with out scanning it. He kept repeating him self In which we said no we are fine feeling very confused. He walked away but still staring and looking down at our bags and watched us walk away making my children feel very uncomfortable. I do not appreciate being accused of stealing and being made to feel like this.

  The bakery cinnamon buns are lovely, but Tesco really needs to sort out either the barcode labels or the packaging. This has happened to me twice now at the self-checkout — the barcode wouldn’t scan, and when staff came over to help, the soft packaging was handled quite roughly while trying to scan it, causing the icing to get squashed and stick all over the inside of the wrapper. I appreciate the staff are trying to help, but these buns are very delicate and the current packaging just doesn’t hold up well at self-checkout. It’s becoming a constant battle trying to buy them without them getting ruined. Tesco should either encourage more careful handling or switch to the sturdier plastic boxes used for some of the other bakery items. I just want to enjoy my cinnamon buns intact!

  No one loves food shopping, but it has to be done. And Tesco is my first choice. Prices might not always be lowest, but they do price match loads of items. It's not all about the price though. Quality has to be better too. No point buying something cheaper tht ends up in the bin. Shop and scan important for me, I want to be out agai and get on with my day. Important there's enough staff at checkouts to help.
