- KSk s4 days ago5.0Just been for a family Fathers Day meal. First class service and food. It was very busy, but all the staff were very friendly, attentive, and efficient. Highly recommended. Can see why it is busy :-)
- JDJonathan Dance5 days ago5.0My fist visit in 57 years....well it's changed but not that much! The front bar is still an unspoilt pub and the dining extension is discreet. Incredible setting, outstanding large garden. Good food cooked to order and perfectly decent for the price. Note if on a low sodium diet and being naughty with some chips....mention it to the chef when ordering as they use flaked sea salt :-) !! Great bitter on tap!

The food was clearly home-cooked, freshly prepared, and full of flavour. The roast was beautifully cooked with generous portions, delicious vegetables, and one of the nicest Yorkshire puddings I've had in a long time. The lady serving us was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's refreshing to find a traditional country pub that serves quality homemade food with such genuine hospitality. A lovely setting, excellent food, and great service. We'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a proper home-cooked roast dinner in a beautiful village location. Would definitely highly recommend this .
