  Found this pub on the off chance. It was a shame that my 1st choice of lamb steak had been so popular that they'd run out but the homemade steak and mushroom pie was a good 2nd choice. Lovely meal; good portion size and homemade pastry. If I was being really picky I'd say the leeks in the 5 veg medley needed a tad longer and I'd have loved a little more gravy! The staff were polite and friendly and very accommodating when my husband asked for the scampi and chips from the weekday menu on a Sunday. Ladies facilities were clean and presentable. £45 for 2 main meals a pint of coke and half a cider which I thought was reasonable.

  Lovely pub. Delicious food, good atmosphere and really lovely waiting staff.

  Very tasty proper pub food, on the more expensive side but worth it in my opinion. Staff are all lovely too.
