  We had a warm welcome at the poachers Inn from Lydia who showed us to our comfortable and spotless room with ample tea tray and good free WiFi . The bed was comfortable and the room cozy and quiet. We stayed two nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. The food quality was superb and freshly cooked we later heard it was Ryan the new Chefs 3rd night starting at the Poachers Inn. So keep up that standard Ryan we loved your food. The onion rings were exceptional and the fish stunning! We throughly enjoyed the quiz night on Tuesday which was well supported and lots of fun . So we will definitely be booking to return when we next visit our family in Basingstoke. The Poachers inn is a true gem and Katie the manager obviously has great passion for her guests to have the best of times . Oh yes and they welcome dogs which was what drew us in the first instance. Rufus and Lola were well looked after .

  Had a great dining experience at The Poacher's Inn. I'd stopped off on my way home with my dog, on 23rd September, and was made to feel very welcome. Staff were helpful and attentive, food was very reasonanly priced, served hot, good presentation, and was delicious. (I think the skin on fries were actually the longest chips I'd ever seen!) I didn't feel rushed at all, and I had hoped to have lunch there again on Saturday 3rd October when I was back in the area, but arrived prior to opening time so that was bad planning on my part 🙈 I will return at a later date though, and can highly recommend, thank you

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a lovely Sunday roast at The Pochers Inn. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was really welcoming, and it was brilliant to find somewhere that is so dog friendly. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the Sunday roast was absolutely lovely. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend The Pochers Inn to anyone looking for a great Sunday roast

  Hi, from the moment we arrived we were met with a friendly greeting by all the staff members we saw. Our room was a good size and very clean... They were showing the England match that also suited us. A nice comfy bed and a warm room awaited Then the pre-ordered breakfasts were awesome. Also our dog was welcome too and had a good night's sleep in our room. All in all a great stay. If anyone wants any negative comments - maybe the bathroom mirror was too high for my partner to use easily, but she is only 5` 4 in stature.

  Came unplanned on a Saturday for a late lunch. Standout was how lovely the staff was, and the food was very solid too. Would absolutely go again.
