    Was good service. He explained what wasnt on the menu that day and then how to access the gluten free menu. Table was a bit worn out and sticky in places. Food was served pretty quickly,as were the drinks

    A great evening tonight, food was excellent, staff very polite, friendly and hard working. We were a party of 7, thank you very much for the prompt service and lovely relaxed atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning very soon to The Farnborough Beefeater.

    Met by nice chap from behind the bar & shown to seat. Decor was ok. Carpet a bit past its best and same with the chairs. Orders a mixed grill £22.50 I think it was. Fair enough i thought but let’s see. I seen the meal was cooked from my table & put under hot lamp. It stayed there for too long before was brought to table. So eggs were hard & bit rubbery. Peas tasted of nothing at all. Half a tomatoes which i never eat anyway. Token effort I think. by restaurant. Let’s have a couple of vine tomatoes or a nice beef tomato instead of cheap offering or don’t bother. Steak was cooked to perfection & tasty. A little small at about 5 oz, Chicken a bit dry & thin. Char grill lines were nice. Gammon was ok. Again nice grill lines & bit of crispy fat. Sausages x 2 really cheap product, pasty & just tastes of herbs.. Oven chips cooked to perfection. But Is oven chips now acceptable from a. Restaurant charging this? The staff it was blatant didn’t want to be there. Which added to atmosphere. When my food was delivered by I believe the manager lady, I wasn’t offered any sauces for mixed grill & had to ask, which seemed an embuggerance. I would rate it at weatherspoons quality & service but twice the price. No offence to spoons as reflects in the price. I can see beefeater one of the companies who will go bust in the near future. I think was 3 or 4 tables occupied in a big place. Which I can understand as I personally wont be rushing back. Lastly I asked if did blue light discount. Not a problem if not but worth an ask. I was told it wasn’t working today??? Shame about the place really, as not a lot of competition in the immediate area. Just fast food joints.

    As soon as me and my partner walked through the doors, we greeted by a host in a white shirt and short hair, and met with an eye roll. We said hello and said we have a reservation, which the host responded by saying 'we're closing, so last orders are right now or you can leave.' This was at 8:30pm on a Saturday. We didn't want to be an inconvenience, so we decided to just order drinks. We soon found out that the kitchen actually closes at 9, and the bar at 10, and the venue at 11. This means we were lied to by the host, which was very upsetting. As we had our drinks, we were treated very kindly by the other staff, especially the bartender and a waitress with dark hair and a ponytail. We left hungry and dissappinted. You guys really need to sort your service out especially with that host. If that host has been treating customers like this on a regular basis, like us they'll be leaving dissapointed and upset, and definitely won't be returning. Unfortunately, I will have to rate the food 1 star, since we didn't get any.

    We were served by Owen who had great customer service who made us feel welcomed and he was very polite. The food was great the ribs was big portion and tasty. The steak was cooked well and sticky tofee pudding was fantastic and did not have raisins which is good. They also do blue light discount which was fantastic
