Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Arrived at Gregg's fareham before 1055 today hoping for breakfast bacon and sausage baguette. Only to be told they had packed up already! No explanation. Breakfast menu still on the board. Surely Breakfast served till 11 is exactly what it should be. Annoyed I left with nothing. I like the food in greggs that I even put up with the fareham branch always being filthy, floors never cleaned and bins overflowing. Come on sort it out.

Chucked out what I wanted to order in front of me.
I went in to get a Bacon and Cheese Wrap. Joined the queue and I could see they still had several at the counter.
Queue took a while and while I was waiting they took them away, and told me they stop serving them at 11am.
But it was still 10:50 when they told me this, so absolute waste of my time.

Absolutely unhygienic place. Rubbish everywhere, all tables literally dirty. Not the first time it happens every time we go there is the same. Shame as the restaurant and chairs itself are nice.

Greggs is my go to place for the all famous sausage roll however since greggs fareham highstreet has been revamped and moved into the old argos store, providing dine in servie and much larger choice of food. I find now they are severely understaffed and is always a queue, I feel they have taken on alot more then what they can comfortably provide. Today only 3 members of staff working, and after and altercation with a customer all 3 disappeared for what felt like 10mins leaving a queue of about 10-12 people waiting to be served.
Whilst your staff working are lovely and polite please support them and get them more staff to help. I dont know how there expected to serve that amount of customers and still keep the seating area tidy (which 9/10 times i go in Condiments never filled, dirty tables), click and collect orders, delicerys and anything else behind the scenes.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
