Food absolutely brilliant great service and the real ale was great. I enjoyed my Hugo Spritz as well . Would highly recommend I bet it’s great in the evening we were there at lunch so it was quiet, but still quite busy. Great pub

Phoned up to book a table for 2 at 6pm, got a confirmation text through to say all booked. Turn up to be told that the kitchen was closed and the automatic phone system "does that" when I said we'd booked. Then told we would have had a text cancelling the booking. Said we only got confirmation text and was told thats not how it works and there was a quiz starting... Couldn't have cared less at the inconvenience caused. If the kitchens closed not much can be done but I would expect an apologetic attitude. Plenty of nice pubs and restaurants in the area, no need to go back here and see if attitudes are any better when they are serving food.

Just had a lunch today for 4 adults. Unfortunately was unimpressed by the fish and chips we all had. The chips were well over cooked and the fish too crispy. 3 of us left our chips.
