Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. - JJJoeyJul 4, 20261.0Absolutely awful experience every time I come into this Greggs. There’s always the same old couple sat in the corner whenever I visit. They act like they own the place, staring at people and generally being rude and miserable, I don’t know what their deal is but they smell as bad as the toilet did . I even overheard them making rude comments about the workers, which just made the atmosphere even more unpleasant. I was served by a young bloke with black hair who wasn’t wearing a hat or a hairnet while handling food and neither was one of the other staff members . He looked like he couldn’t be bothered and had no interest in serving customers or doing his job properly at all. The other staff all seemed more interested in scrolling on their phones behind the counter than serving people or keeping the shop clean. The food was cold, half the counters had no bakes available, there were flies buzzing around the sweet treats, the tables were filthy, and the bins were overflowing. The customer toilet absolutely reeked of urine and there wasn’t even any toilet roll. Overall, the whole place felt dirty, poorly managed, and like nobody cared about customer service or basic hygiene. This branch seriously needs sorting out because it’s gone downhill. I definitely won’t be coming back.

- NNNaomiMar 17, 20261.0Me and my partner love Greggs however whenever we have ordered from this location a fair few times over the past month as it is our local store and every time we have ordered with this site there is always half the order missing or many items missing or we receive items we didn’t order, we don’t live too far from this site and it takes over an hour to get to us and it’s usually cold by the time it gets to us. I understand that when it’s busy it will take longer and drivers aren’t always available straight away to get here however to be waiting over an hour for food that’s pretty much ready to be put in the bag and handed off I personally feel isn’t acceptable. Whenever items have been missing we haven’t been contacted to say it’s because the item is no longer available, so i’m now lead to believe the staff here just don’t care enough to make sure orders are correct before going out. I’m deeply disappointed by my experiences with this site and I hope things improve but until then I won’t be returning and I suggest others do the same to avoid repeated disappointment.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
