We went here today as we were on our way back from Bealeau to Lymington. Great looking pub and decent pint.... We had a couple of drinks each and 2 starters as we were planning on going back in the evening for food. It was only after paying that I realised they added a discretionary 12.5% service charge, for what??? You served a couple of drinks and bought e plates to us 🤔
If you go here please check your bill before paying as a service charge may well be added....
Needless to say we didn't go back in ghe evening.

Disappointed cause it looked like such a lovely pub. I ordered the chicken and it was the same portion size as my 2 year olds grilled chicken except with the bone so probably an even smaller amount of meat. I may as well have ordered the kids plate considering it was £18! Double the price for the same portion. My parents had lemon meringue pudding and it was so small! Absolute rip off and food really is nothing special

Just had a lovely meal, booked this after a day out in the New Forest. The pub is lovely as are the staff especially Amy. The selection available on the menu is amazing so much choice at a great price too! Food was great too had Crab and Prawn linguine, Pollock and Chips and Flat bottomed Chicken. Had desserts too, peach Melba’s and sticky toffee pudding absolutely fabulous! If you want a great pub with lovely food and staff then you must come here!!

Went here for Sunday Lunch. Lovely location, easily accessible by bus if you don't drive. Excellent menu and service. Great selection of drinks. Friendly staff and value for money. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the New Forest.

Walked to the pub for a Saturday lunch with a dog. Got soaked through. Met family there so a group of 6 of us. Staff were incredibly friendly and service was great. Only beaten by the tasty food. A great diverse menu which was well cooked and served in a timely fashion.
