This place is food-wise one of the greatest pubs I’ve ever eaten at in 2 years of living in and 10+ years of frequently visiting the UK. We got the 3 for £17 bar starters and the pork belly melts in your mouth. The halloumi fries are literally the best halloumi fries I’ve EVER had, the sausage was savory and perfectly cooked. We also had bruschetta and the chicken burger. The chicken burger was a revelation, with a garlic mayo spread and a potato hashbrown triangle, it’s like a love letter to comfort food. The chips were top notch too. They just GET it. You know, it astounds me how everywhere basically has the same kitchen and the same ingredients, yet some, very rare places produce such incredible art, and everywhere else just makes stuff you eat. We have ended up in a lot of restaurants frantically and randomly picking from a Google maps list in a parked car on the side of the road; this is the first one that my wife, after yielding with the ol’ “I don’t care just pick one”, has ever looked back at me smiling and said “good pick.” I cannot give a higher compliment than that. We were lucky enough to stumble in. A hidden gem in the middle of the Isle of Wight. I might make a trip back, ferry and all, just for the roast. (Also posted on Trip Advisor)

Fantastic bar and restaurant. Food was immense and the staff were attentive and looked after us. Nothing was too much of a chore. I will definitely be returning to try more delicious food off the menu.

Had the best time at three bishops, food and team are lovely. Great little spot by such a pretty part of the island. The room we stayed in had everything we needed. Shall be back!

Visited for the first time on Wednesday night. NAGGED my other half to visit again tonight (Saturday night) with it being the last night of our holiday. The 'Dirty Burger' (double beef burger with bacon, mac and cheese, crispy onions and beef dripping gravy served with chips) has my whole heart.

We chose the Three Bishops to host a surprise 80th birthday party for our Dad last month, and it couldn't have been a better decision. Sean and his team went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable. Around 90 family members and friends enjoyed an incredible barbecue (special thanks to Ryan!), relaxed in the beautiful garden, and rounded off the evening by watching England beat Panama in the World Cup. Sean was there throughout, making sure everything ran perfectly, and Dad absolutely loved every minute. Having grown up in the village, the Three Bishops has always been part of our lives, so it's wonderful to see Sean breathe new life into our local. The atmosphere, service and attention to detail were exceptional, and so many of our guests commented on what a fantastic venue it was. A huge thank you to Sean and the whole team for making such a special milestone one we'll never forget. We're already talking about another 'beer and buses' next year, and I suspect we'll end up back at the Three Bishops!
