  This is my love food,it's so easy to order something you really fancy, food is always delicious, fast and fresh, long time customer with high expectations but never disappointed

  Extremely disappointing experience at Wagamama Basingstoke. I used the toilet and witnessed a member of staff leave without washing their hands. This is a serious hygiene concern, so I immediately reported it to the manager. Rather than taking my complaint seriously or investigating it professionally, the manager approached me around 10 minutes later while we were sitting waiting for our food and effectively accused me of being mistaken. She claimed that other employees had seen the staff member wash his hands, making me feel as though she was calling me a liar. When I questioned this, her explanation changed. She then said the toilet had been occupied and that the staff member had washed his hands somewhere else. The inconsistency in her response only made me lose confidence in how the situation was being handled. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable for raising a genuine hygiene concern. Instead of acknowledging the issue and dealing with it appropriately, the manager was dismissive and defensive. The combination of poor hygiene standards and unprofessional customer service means I will not be returning. I expect much better from a restaurant, especially when it comes to food hygiene and the way legitimate customer concerns are handled.

  Taste, quality and portions used to be good. Not anymore. Sometimes bland and sometimes salty.

  We ate a light lunch here. Sadly my favourite dish is no longer available the replacement was close but no banana. My daughter had a voucher on her app, which she had asked if it could be used. When it came to pay we asked for the bill but it had not been taken off. We questioned this and a manager said it was not valid for our meal. By this time my parking was about to run out. My daughter waited for a card machine to be bought but no one came back so she paid via the app and left. She was chased by staff claiming she was trying to leave without paying. When she showed them her receipt they just shrugged and went away. No apology. This highlights a few things! Train your staff in the app! Politeness costs nothing. If you make a mistake apologise! Don’t allow payment via the app if you cannot check before accusing customers of theft!!

  Popped into Wagamama Basingstoke tonight and honestly couldn't fault a thing. The food was spot on, fresh, fast and full of flavour, but what really made the visit was our waitress Allie. She was incredible from start to finish. Friendly, attentive without hovering, knew the menu inside out and made great recommendations. Service like that is rare these days and she genuinely made the whole experience. Five stars and we'll definitely be back. Thanks Allie!
