- MGMaman Des GarçonsJul 30, 20261.0Honestly, I never imagined I would be writing a negative review, especially as someone who has lived in Runcorn for over seven years and used to enjoy eating here. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I left feeling that I was treated differently because of my race. Last week, I visited with my children. We walked into the store smiling, and I greeted the staff with a cheerful “Hello!” My children greeted them too. We were completely ignored. There was no eye contact, no greeting, and no acknowledgment that we had even entered the store, despite the restaurant being empty and us being the only customers. A few moments later, another customer came out of the toilet with his two children. The staff immediately greeted him warmly with big smiles and started chatting with him, while we were still standing there, completely ignored. I waited patiently for several minutes, hoping someone would acknowledge us, but nothing changed. In the end, I left with my children and went to the other Subway in Runcorn, where we were welcomed politely and had a much better experience. As a Black woman, this interaction left me feeling invisible and deeply hurt. I cannot say with certainty what was in the staff’s minds, but the difference in how we were treated compared with another customer made me feel that race played a part in our experience. I’m grateful that my children didn’t fully understand what happened, but no family should have to feel unwelcome when simply trying to buy a meal. Sadly, I cannot recommend this location based on my experience.

If an order was wrong, which it clearly was as I drove to your store to advise this then what good would me bringing you the bag back in?? I advised that the rest of the order was correct, and only one item was missing? I would suggest you use a check list when packing orders and signing them. As advised we won’t be back and I have emailed Subway with regards to you needing to be trained as you are not qualified to hold that position in my opinion.
- UMur m0mJun 13, 20261.0came here to order take out. a customer in there was complaining due to an order she recieved which had a missing item. one of the workers was about to remake the sandwich but then another lady came out (manager maybe?) and started shouting at the customer and said in the future she won’t be remaking any sandwich without proof that she didn’t receive the sandwich (don’t know how you can take a picture of something that doesn’t exist anyway). the customer then stated that that was fine because she wouldn’t be returning anyway to which the lady behind the counter shouted back to the lady “i’m not making ur sandwich get out”. this lady stated that she was the one who made the order however when the customer left she started shouting at the other worker and said “check what’s going out in future” even though she said it was her who made it AND she was just shouting at the staff member infront of other customers like myself ? the man who served us was lovely tho so thank you to him
