About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Very disappointed with the service at Greggs I have been standing in the queue for around 10 minutes, and there is only one lady serving on the till. She is serving extremely slowly, taking around 15 minutes with one customer, while a long queue of people is waiting. What is most frustrating is that she doesn’t seem to be paying any attention to the queue or taking orders from the other waiting customers. People are simply left standing there waiting, including customers who are just trying to get their breakfast. I understand that staff can have busy moments, but this level of service is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. There should be better organisation and someone else available to help when there is such a long queue. Very disappointing I had a very disappointing experience at Greggs in Bangor. The shift manager, Abbie was extremely rude and unhelpful. There was a long queue, but customers were being served incredibly slowly around 10–15 minutes for just one customer. It seemed as though the queue was being completely ignored, which was very frustrating. When I asked for oat milk, I was told rather rudely that they didn’t have any. I completely understood that they might be out of stock, so I simply said that was fine and asked for skimmed milk instead, as I just wanted to have my breakfast. However, the way I was spoken to was unnecessarily rude and made the whole experience even worse. This was honestly the worst experience I have had at Greggs. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

Got here at 5pm after seeing the closing time states as 6pm. All the shelves were empty and the lights were off. We could see the staff cleaning up. We then watched them get into their cars with bags full of Greggs products. Dodgy ..

Girl that served me was hotter than the Chicken Bake and Sausage Roll. Is it possible to get hot food at greggs anymore.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
