- GJGary John3 days ago5.0The pub is just under new management as of Monday. They inherited our booking for 15 eating. They worked flat out to cover all our meals even though it wasn't from their menu. Everyone in our group was really happy with their meals and we all congratulate the new staff on a brilliant start. Well done

Small portion, not very lemony and very little meringue. This place is well worth a visit. Tables are well spaced. Good for group meals. Still a good sense of village community as opposed to many village pubs.

- PPPip PerryMay 27, 20261.0Arrived with two friends at 9pm, waited 5 minutes at the upper bar which was unattended and then eventually called ”hello”. A sullen looking woman came into the bar from outside and said unapologetically “I’ll be with you when I’ve sorted the others out” and walked off. The pub was pretty much empty, we waited a while longer and then just left, not wanting to spend the evening in her company. We went to the Old Neighbourhood where we received a friendly welcome and we bought nine pints, what a contrast! I know where we’ll be drinking and eating in future.
