Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I use greggs alot, not just this one but all over the country I've never had a issue.
I found the staff to be very friendly and no I wasn't homeless as one customer put. If you find this greggs to be bad like you put in your review and have to wipe your own table, why didn't you ask a team member to clean it for you, I'm sure they would of done it for you. Like most places not just greggs, but if you give people respect they will give it back. By your reviews you don't give that.
My steak bake was just right in temperature.
Team member was cleaning and chairs were on tables, however they had left a couple free so that you could still sit down. I did clean up after myself in which some didn't.
Staff member did say they only get 30 minutes to clean up everywhere in the shop, which isn't long really for the amount of stuff they have to do. So can understand why they do what they do.
I will be returning when back in area, thank you so much, enjoyed the chat and my food.
And if you wasn't happy with your visit, I'm sure the staff wouldn't miss a rude lady, clearly you wasnt given manners.

Rude Some staff. One staff is just for homeless people polite friendly seen it to oberserve. Picks her customer's who she knowledgeable. And cum 5.00 or 5.30 pm they try to tell you you can't sit down because they be closing and seen it smoking outside. Unprofessional to say they are closing soon at that time not have customer's sitting to drink and eat. Many times l had that. But go outside and smoking away. Tables are not cleaned dirty like that all the time. I had that cleaning up a table with last customer's crap left. Not good to show greggs what or how your staff is running the business. That like myself or other customer's l seen wipe our tables before we sit down on clean and health and hiegine ways. On food. But they moan they work hard and short ov staff but can't mange standers

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
