  I am writing to share a very disappointing customer service experience with the Co op on Stroud Road in Gloucester. I placed a Just Eat grocery delivery order where the main item I wanted was some cider, and I simply added a few snacks to make up the basket. The specific cider was out of stock, but I had left a clear note asking for a substitution with any other available cider. The store staff have the system in place to provide substitutions, but they did not action this. Furthermore, the Just Eat driver actually asked the staff directly to swap the item for me when they arrived at the shop, but the staff rejected the request. They did not attempt to offer any alternative cider, even if it was under the cost of the original item. Instead, they simply refunded the drinks. Because they would not substitute or cancel the order, I have been left paying almost ten pounds for just a few sweets and crisps. I would never have paid the delivery fees and service charges for these items alone, so I feel completely ripped off. It is a real shame that the team could not use basic initiative to resolve a simple issue. I would strongly advise caution when ordering food and drink deliveries from this store if you want a helpful and reliable service 😡👎🛒

  Tried multiple times to call and find out if what I needed was in stock. Am under the weather and didn't want to walk there if what I needed wasn't there. Rang out for ages multiple times and then they'd just end the call without answering.
