  First time in Cheltenham Wagamama. A Wednesday lunchtime around 1pm so not busy. Staff friendly, food great and the £10 lunchbox +£2 drink option good value.

  I regret having to write this review but do so with the hope that Wagamama Cheltenham improve this particular issue. I would often pop in for a quick meal if working late or as a post gym hit. If you read this, Wagamama, I ALWAYS order the firecracker chicken. Too often, I’d say 30% of the time, the food was at best lukewarm. I started asking the staff when ordering to ensure the food was served hot, and then, it usually was. I went in about a fortnight ago and forgot to ask. The result was that the chicken in my dish was literally cold when bitten into. Not lukewarm, cold. The rice was hot. I’m not sure how it’s even possible to serve cold chicken if it’s been cooked to order. They offered to replace it but this was the straw that broke it, and I left and have not been back. I’ve had so many discussions with various managers there about this persistent issue. Nothing seems to change. The staff are generally very nice and friendly - hence the 4 stars for service but I’m afraid that doesn’t make up for a dish with cold chicken. There’s obviously some systemic issue you need to address. Let me know when you work out what that is and have corrected it and I’ll return.
