- TCtahira channelJun 8, 20261.0I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at your restaurant I came to buy food for my son, who was very hungry, and I also had my small baby with me. After placing my order, I tried to pay with a £50 note, but the staff refused to accept it. I asked why, because it is legal currency, and they simply said they do not accept £50 notes. I suggested that they check the note with a counterfeit detection machine if they had any concerns, but they refused. I also asked why there was no sign informing customers that £50 notes are not accepted. The only response I received was, “We told you with our mouth.” I asked to speak to the manager, and I was told that the employee was the manager and that nothing could be done. I explained that I had no bank card and no smaller cash, and that the £50 note was all I had, but they still refused to serve us or offer any solution. As a result, I had to leave with my hungry son and my small baby and travel to another place just to exchange the money before coming back. It was extremely stressful and inconvenient, and nobody seemed to care that I was with two young children. What disappointed me most was not only the refusal to accept my payment, but the complete lack of understanding, empathy, and basic customer service. If a restaurant has a policy of not accepting £50 notes, there should be a clear notice displayed so customers know before ordering. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, and I hope this matter is taken seriously so that no other family is treated this way.
