This is easily the worst Tesco Express I've ever shopped at. Tesco is my go-to supermarket and travelling for work I've seen a fair few. Overzealous security guards, very unpleasant experience.

As a regular customer, I have heard that staff here are unfriendly. During my recent visit, one of them treated me with hostility and made racist comments. When I was leaving, I was getting taunted by him. It was disrespectful and threatening to me. I believe that no customer should be treated differently based on their race.

i'm usually the last person to complain about shop staff as i know first-hand it's a hard and underpaid job but this is the worst-managed shop i've EVER been to and some of the most entitled staff i've encountered
like another reviewer said, if you buy an energy drink/alcohol at self-checkout, good luck finding someone to approve it :)) one day i didn't have my wallet on me and, after waiting around 10 if not more minutes for someone to come over to the self-checkout, i then was refused an energy drink because i didn't have ID - the cashier sees me in there all the time i only ever get redbulls there, i'm 27, i very obviously don't look under 16 and and i have visible tattoos as well, she had an attitude about it as well lol girl i come to get my redbull here all the time, fair enough you have to follow your procedure even when i'm a regular but don't be raising your voice at me. the store itself is constantly messy, a lot of the sandwiches in the meal deal section are being left until the last possible day before expiry without being reduced
staff's constantly just stands around yapping to each other in the middle of aisles and in front of fridges and neeeever step aside, apologise, or move when you're trying to do your shopping. it's as if you as a customer are inconveniencing them lol
Crazy expensive like most tescoes and you have to ask the one guy that works there to ID you for an energy drink if you can find him, also a pain if paying by cash and its a coin toss whether theyre out of the one thing I went there for.
The store has an uncomfortable atmosphere of being constantly watched like I get the feeling of someone breathing down my neck when I go there and Its a personal thing, but Im putting this here as well since this is what makes it a 1 star for me.
Was waiting a while to be served with a few of us in a que. I said in a raised tone “can someone come to the tills please”. Woman who works in the shop with short curly hair came over to me and tried to guilt trip me saying “I’d watch when you shout please there’s a boy with autism, come get me next time” it’s not my job to go and look for someone to serve me, if the shops understaffed then hire more people🤣
