Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Trying the famous Greggs Vegan Sausage Roll in Ealing, West London was a chore, as the ones on display were cold and I was told it would be a 20 minute wait for a hot one. So why the heater illusion hot counter selling cold pastries, very weird.
Staff seem off, but hey I came for the food and to be honest if the sausage roll would have been hot, I would not have had any issues. Also spied their cheeky pink Tottingham cake when walking out, but is was too early to indulge in such an iconic treat.

Went in and spent over £40 for team, however the attitude of Brenda, her chewing gum and not washing ands while touching things in the back kitchen along with zero visual awareness of customers was one of the worst I have experienced, The fact she is of an older generation, I thought the mindset and respect would be there. She is shameful and chewing and attitude stinks!
As a retailer myself and a global Director, the only saving grace in the visit was the gentleman working with Brenda, Senior chap, well spoken and great acknowledgment and old school mindset regarding retail service and was apologetic as I had to wait due to using vouchers.
He is a credit and only the two people that were in the store around 1.50pm today. I do not like to complain, however if I spoke and addressed Brenda I think it would fall on deaf ears.
She needs retraining or think about etiquette lessons and STOP chewing like Viv Richards on a cricket field! He has swagger, you have poor manners and you are the lasting experience of Greggs in Ealing.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
