Never been a big fan of dominos, hadn’t returned to one in over 5 years. Having said that, I was working in St Andrews and fancied a pizza, I saw they had a Monday Mayhem deal or something similar, giving any size pizza £8.99. Couldn’t ignore that, I pay more at the bakers for pasty’s. Placed my order online for collection then called the store to ask for it well done. When I arrived,I was greeted straight away by a gentleman, was very polite, confirmed my pizza and before giving me it, asked if this was well done though for me but in the same sentence assured me that if it’s not, it’s not an issue at all to put it back in the oven. In any other circumstance if I was asked if this was well done enough, to save hassle I just say yes, but because he was so nice about it and reassured me that essentially saying no is totally okay. It made me feel like an actual customer and my preference is important if I’m bringing my custom here. It gave me the confidence to say, actually yes please put it back in for me that would be great. As he’s doing it, he’s talking to me, having conversation about pizzas and cooking preferences etc etc just general chit chat. He explained how the ovens work and it’s in cycles so sometimes it’s hard to control how well done they are and what not. Actually useful information to know in all fairness if I was to order again, now I know how it works so I can explain my preference better. He then asked if it was okay a second time and it was. Gave me it and wished me a great day.
I’ve just finished eating it and I immediately came to write this review. It was absolutely amazing. It’s totally changed my view on Dominos. I was more of a Papa Johns guy if anything but this pizza was fantastic. I really regret not getting this employees name, he was a mature man, cap on with lots of pin badges. I want him to get recognition for his mannerisms, politeness and care for customer satisfaction.
Thank you for my Pizza!
