Our Outlet shops help tackle food waste while making Greggs food more affordable. At Greggs, a lot of our food is made or baked fresh every day, which means that at the end of trading any unsold items must be removed from our shelves. To reduce waste, as much of this surplus food as possible is sent to our Outlet shops, where it is sold the following day at a discount.
We now have 45 Greggs Outlet shops, offering big savings on day‑old products to support people managing tight household budgets. These openings mean that every one of our food manufacturing sites now has an Outlet shop nearby, allowing us to redistribute surplus food from both our production facilities and our shops more effectively.
Our Outlet shops also play an important role in supporting local communities. A portion of the profits generated are donated to The Greggs Foundation, which then shares this
funding with local charities and community groups. This helps direct money back into initiatives that are working to tackle food poverty and support those most in need.

- FTF TApr 16, 20264.0I find Greggs prices in the regular shops pretty steep — I barely go because I can end up spending up to £15 on just 3 items. At the outlets though, most items are 50% off the normal retail price, so you can make great savings. You just need to get there early as things sell out fast. The food is still in date but has a short expiry, which is why it's discounted — it stays fresh for a couple of days. If you're looking to save money, it's well worth the trip.

Times are very hard but this place is so cheap you can get the hot drinks sandwiches,bagguttes,biscuts & sweet treats at prob less than half the price you would pay in an actual greggs shop! The staff are absolutely friendly and very helpful went in this morning quite early and vibes were very positve. Do come and grab a bargain!

What are your opening times?

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
