  Furchtbarer kleiner Supermarkt. Es sieht alles sehr unordentlich aus. Wenig Auswahl. Merkwürdige Kundschaft. Mit Kindern kein gutes einkaufen möglich

  We were visiting from overseas & stopped here to stock up on supplies for the bnb-- got alot of food for 50£, we thought. Some really good-tasting small fresh tomatoes in a bag. Yummy 1/2 loaf of grain bread that tasted quite rustic.The fresh pastry section is a bit sad though. Needs more dessert options in the fridge aside from ice cream. Friendly, chatty cash person who can spot foreigners a mile away. Free biodeg. shopping bags. Back home we have to pay for them. Will drop by again.

  This place can be hit-and-miss, regarding stock levels, availability as well as staff levels and their attitudes. On the whole it a good place to shop (there isn't much alternative in St. Leonard's if you don't have a car!) I try to get there earlier in the day to avoid the crowds as it can get rather busy. They often DONT have the morning goods on offer which surprised me as I was told by staff that they start baking at 6am. That's 1.5 hours before they open so if you really want a croissant it may be better to go elsewhere. Staff can be cheery but that's up to them. I was surprised that over Christmas there didn't seem to be more of a staff presence on the floor, I did see several hurdles of employees shuffling about with their hands in their pockets whilst floors needed sweeping & shelves replenishing. I go there every day as it's the only place really unless you get a bus into Hastings. The self service machines would be better if they accepted cash as well as cards but as the security presence seems rather feeble & there are many beggars & shoplifters around I can see why it's card only. It is a fairly newish expansion, but since their relaunch, no one seems to take pride in the stores appearance which is a shame. Some days it's a 5* rating, others far less!
