Food poor and expensive for the quality/quantity
Waitress was lovely but the two chefs were loudly swearing and openly complaining about their jobs, other staff and customers.
Didn't complain to staff as I didn't really want my food going back to the two grumpy chefs!

The Sirloin steak and accompanying triple fried chips etc was excellent and cooked to my request. The Shiraz was superb as well. What capped off a lovely evening meal was Bobi, our delightful waitress who was diligent, attentive and very informative, all with a piercing smile and welcoming demeanour. Well done.

Visited with my partner and children. The waitress was lovely, food was bland and very big standard. Over priced especially seeing as 2 our party didn't have a main due to the restaurant running out of certain food. Menu is basic. Atmosphere was loud and just not relaxed. So will not be returning.
Have been coming here for twenty years. Not every meal has been 5*.
Not every member of staff has had a smile on their face. What I can say is 99% of our meals have been delicious and served by some lovely people. It saddens us to learn that this particular Beefeater is on a published list for closure. If Whitbread believes they can keep our ongoing custom in their adjoining Premier Inn then they are mistaken. The staff at the restaurant were our main reason for staying here. So sadly we can only say, thank you so much to the staff of Harlow Mill. May your future be bright and you are employed by people who actually appreciate you. We certainly have.

Firstly, the well done steak that my mother-in-law order came cremated, had to return it and get another one cooked for her, but that's not the point it should have been correct in the first place
Secondly, asked for decaf coffee and was told we don't do decaf. What eating establishment does not sell decaf coffee (or tea).
Thirdly, no milk alternative offered, asked for flat white coffee with oat milk. Told we don't do oat milk, but offered no other alternatives.
Very poor and outdated restaurant.... Yes we were asked if any one had allegeries, but what's the point saying yes when you can't offer an alternative.
Don't expect we'll be eating here in the future, the Beefeater was always a good place to eat with a much larger choice if foods on the menu.
It's nice that you offer a cheap menu with smaller portions for people who want to eat out but can't afford main menu prices or can't eat main menu portions.
Unfortunately, over the last 10 years Beefeater has gone down hill very badly.
Very disappointed ......
