  This is our second time eating at the Tesco Café, and once again the service from Blerta has been absolutely exceptional. What really stood out to us was that she actually remembered us from our previous visit, even remembering I got mushrooms, and taking the time to double-check which ones I’d prefer. That level of attention and genuine care is so rare and really makes a difference. Both times we’ve visited, Blerta has been working on her own, front of house, yet somehow she still manages to provide consistently brilliant service. She is friendly, attentive, efficient and makes you feel genuinely looked after, regardless of how busy she is. We really wanted to leave this review because excellent customer service deserves to be recognised. Blerta is an absolute credit to Tesco and a real asset to the café. I really hope this feedback reaches her manager and that she gets the recognition she deserves. Thank you, Blerta, we’ll definitely be back!

  Cafe had less than 15 people in and we still ended up waiting 30 minutes for two small breakfasts. No apology or urgency from the staff who looked annoyed when we asked how much longer it was going to be. Completely avoid until the service, attitude and speed gets better. We could have driven to Tesco, bought the ingredients, driven home and cooked them in the time it took..!

  Extremely disappointing experience at Tesco Café – 31 August This morning, 31 August, we visited the Tesco Café for breakfast during what was clearly a very busy morning. Unfortunately, the service was completely unacceptable. There appeared to be a new starter working alongside another member of staff who was extremely slow and, more concerningly, showed very little urgency or concern for the Tesco customers who were waiting. We waited over 40 minutes for a very simple breakfast, which is completely unreasonable. My child was extremely hungry and unsettled, and we had a long road trip ahead of us this morning. Waiting that length of time for breakfast caused unnecessary stress and completely spoiled the start of our journey. I appreciate that the café was busy, and I have sympathy for new staff who are learning. However, customers should not be left waiting 40+ minutes without adequate service or communication. The attitude and lack of urgency from one of the staff members was particularly disappointing. Tesco management needs to address this. There are clearly a number of negative comments about the café, and if customers are repeatedly reporting similar experiences, they need to be taken seriously rather than ignored. I hope Tesco management reviews what happened this morning and takes the necessary steps to improve both the staffing and customer service at this café. Customers deserve much better.

  The only reason for the low scores overall, is that Tesco has taken the cafe staff from three members to two. We've used this cafe on a weekly basis for years when doing the weekend shopping. The staff have always been nice and friendly, especially with our granddaughter, but recently the drop of 33% in staff has had a terrible effect. They're still expected to take orders, cook, serve the tables, clean the tables and clear up, and wash up. All this while having to be polite to disgruntled customers who have been waiting for ages. I've always wondered why they don't have a self clear policy, they need it now more than ever.
