  rude staff apart from the young boy with curly black hair who is lovely and never fails to accommodate, everyone else is extremely rude though, especially the older women who like to make children out to be criminals to the public. a worker also once pointed out my daughters acne. AWFUL place to go, the kids just want to buy their lunch without unkind adults making their morning worse.

  I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the store manager at this Tesco Express. I visited the store, used the card machine and then went inside to buy a sandwich. During my visit, I accidentally dropped my father’s bank card inside the store. Thankfully, the card was found and handed in. When I returned to collect it, I completely understood that security checks would be necessary. I showed photographic ID as well as pictures and other proof relating to the bank card. I also explained that I am not local and am currently over six hours away from home, meaning my father cannot simply come into the store to collect it. I explained my father’s circumstances and that he is currently not well, hoping that the manager could at least calmly explain what options were available. Instead, I found the store manager’s attitude extremely rude, aggressive and confrontational. She raised her voice and shouted while speaking to me, with seemingly no consideration for the situation I was trying to explain. My issue is not simply that she refused to release the card I understand that Tesco has security procedures that staff may have to follow. My complaint is about the manner in which I was treated. What concerned me further was that I had observed the manager speaking calmly and respectfully with other customers and members of staff before dealing with me. The significant difference in the way I felt I was treated left me extremely uncomfortable and feeling singled out. I cannot know the reason for that difference in treatment, but I believe Tesco should investigate the interaction, including whether I was treated differently because of my background. There was absolutely no need for shouting, aggression or rudeness. A manager should be capable of explaining company policy professionally, particularly when a customer is remaining there trying to resolve a genuine problem. Refusing to release a bank card because of security procedures is one thing treating a customer aggressively and disrespectfully while doing so is another. Disgusting!

  Staff are friendly, freezers often without food in for some reason needs fixing too regular occurance.. shop is as expected for local expensive version of Supermarket.. tight parking!

  I have always found the Staff helpful, however, Bea and Michelle always go the extra mile to be very customer focussed. They are very approachable and always smiling. both of you are a credit to the store. I hope the Store Manager acknowledges your valuable contribution.
