  £11 just to get in, and then we even had to pay for a cup to drink out of! The football pitch itself was awful and certainly not what I would expect when you are charging people £11 admission. We ordered a cheeseburger and a hot dog and waited around 45 minutes for our food. When our order was finally ready, I actually watched the lady take the cheese off the burger before calling us over. When I pointed out that I had ordered a cheeseburger, she simply threw a slice of unmelted cheese on top of what was already a very disappointing half-sized burger. When I complained, I was just told, “We are busy.” Being busy isn’t an excuse. If you can’t cope with the number of orders, stop taking them rather than continuing to take people’s money and leaving them waiting 45 minutes for food. The hot dog was just as bad – it was basically half a sausage. Then, to top the whole experience off, we watched frozen burgers being put into the microwave. I am completely for supporting local grassroots football and small clubs, and I understand that these places rely on people coming along and spending money. But there has to be a limit. Supporting a local club shouldn’t mean accepting poor facilities, excessive waiting times, poor-quality food and being charged for absolutely everything. Unfortunately, between the £11 entry fee, having to pay for a cup, the state of the pitch and the whole food experience, I left feeling like it was more about taking as much money as possible than providing a decent experience for the people who had come along to support the club.

  Waited for 10-15 minutes even the place was dead quiet and got a wrong turn oder - 06/09/2026 and called them to make them aware of the mistake, I was not looking for money back, The lady who answered the phone wouldn’t be bothered to apologies but started to ask questions like a boss and blamed me for not having a proof. Next time I will open all my food before leaving the place. What a BS.

  Absolutely awful service. There is nobody at the front counter, so if you need any help or have an issue with your order, you’re left standing around waiting for someone to appear. We also waited an absolutely ridiculous amount of time for our food, despite all the order numbers showing as green and ready. There seems to be a complete lack of organisation and customer service. By a mile, the worst McDonald’s in Colchester. The service needs a serious improvement.

  The worst McDonald’s I ever been to! I’ve been here a few times and the food is always late and pretty much always cold. I had just been again and the service was so long I had to write a review. The chips were cold the burger must of been assembled blindfolded. I would have forgiven it if the restaurant was busy but it was literally empty. I don’t understand how a McDonald’s could be that bad.
