Our "VIP" Experience
We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and, having the foresight to book a table in advance, we foolishly expected a decent seat. Instead, we were elite-ly positioned right at the back of the pub, perfectly nestled between the ladies' loos and a group that sounded exactly like Rylan’s mum on a megaphone. Note to management: what exactly is the point of booking ahead if we get relegated to the toilet corridor? (Note: It wasn't even that busy)
To be fair, the food was actually pretty good. The drinks, however, required a small mortgage compared to Wetherspoons prices.
The Subtlety of a Sledgehammer
By 9:30 PM, the staff decided to start aggressively tidying up around us. Nothing says "please leave" like the soothing soundtrack of stacking chairs and sweeping brushes—mind you, they don't actually close until 11:00 PM. Delightfully relaxing.
The Grand Finale
Because it was a warm evening, we took our overpriced drinks out to the beer garden. Around 10:10 PM, I wandered back inside for a toilet trip and a final round, only to find they had completely locked up and closed the pub.
No warning. No "last orders." Just locked doors.
We double-checked their website, which clearly stated an 11:00 PM closing time. I suppose telling your remaining paying customers that you're locking them out in the garden is just too much to ask.
Verdict: Decent grub, but if you want to finish your evening without being prematurely evicted by a staff team eager for an early bedtime, maybe look elsewhere.
£20 a pint. Absolute scam of a pub and company. I received a parking fine as I’m pretty sure I got a letter of my reg wrong, as it’s a fairly new vehicle. Despite showing them proof that I’m a regular paying customer, the manageress and head office outright refused to assist with clearing the PCN. This is the first pub I’ve EVER visited that has refused to do so, after providing proof of being a frequent customer. Yes I’m an idiot for getting a ticket and doing it all the time in other pubs. Yet this is the first time I’ve been refused and felt compelled to leave a negative comment about lack of willingness to clear a ticket for a frequent customer.
First time at this restaurant today for breakfast, I'm a very fussy eater, but I rank this 10 out of 10, everything was cooked fresh straight on to the plate. Great service by the server and the chef again 10 out of 10

Was waiting to be seated by stafffor 5 minutes and was not acknowledged by 2 members of staff , one at the bar, one who walked past us, run by people who don't know what service is.
