Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Most of the team are actually amazing but there 1 guy he looks middle Eastern Mediterranean... he brings the atmosphere down ...gregs used to be so fun to walk into and he used to be happy but now his always moody always huffing around so I try to avoid this grefs as he just puts everyone in a bad mood . He needs to sort his attitude or go. Simple as that. The rest of the team are happy and welcoming and im getting sick of his moody ness its not for the work place.
Ive just looked at reviews below complaining about the staff and I guarantee its the same guy as the rest of the staff are always happy and polite and welcoming

Many times I go into this greggs in the mornings to see if I can get lunch for work that day - almost everytime no cheese salad baguettes, sandwiches or sub rolls. Today was a classic as all meat stock out in form of rolls, baguettes but nothing with cheese salad so thought I would ask - no sorry staff on a break!!! Open at 6am so plenty of time make up cheese salad food. So what time does cheese filled food come out - not really a call for it people prefer meat, perhaps you should update your menu then to show nothing with cheese is available. Went to Wenzels where there was an abundance of choice.

Absolutely disgraceful service , staff has ZERO manners and makes you feel like you have made the biggest mistake by coming to this branch.
Dirty and very disorganised place with their personal things ( like hand bags) being left on the green tray where the food is .
Placed my order but I was served with nothing but anger and unhappiness , even the poor fridge where they store the milk had to pay for it.
No chance I will be spending even a penny in this branch again !
The Debden Broadway branch should have their staff completely reshuffled, there is plenty of looking for a job and they will be happy to work and give a great customer service.

CROOKS! Ordered twice from Debden store. First time more than half my order was missing. Second time my order was delivered to the wrong address. The staff at Debden store cant be arsed to answer the phone AND after ringing several times, a woman finally answered BUT just wanted to get rid of me. When I persisted she just hung up. When I spoke to their customer services on chat, same thing, the agent "Nicole" simply ended the chat mid conversation and I am still 20 quid out of pocket. DO NOT ORDER FROM GREGGS!!!!

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
