  We booked a carvery on 7.6.26. when we arrived we were told you may be able to see the carvery but you can’t have it as we are having a large group coming in and we have saved it for them! We were very disappointed as we use this restaurant regularly. Surely large bookings should be made in advance and this would give staff time to order more food so there is plenty of meat and vegetables for everyone. So we felt rather let down and we left.

  Absolutely smashing staff, not silly prices and the burger and steak are spot on and the breakfast is the best I've had in a long time

  Not that good, went there a few years ago and it was good, the sirloin steak not good and ice cream Sunday very poor. I'll give it a miss next time and go somewhere else.

  We want to say a Huge thankyou to the Bowling Green Team. We had our wedding Party at the venue on the 26th of May, and the team could not have been more accommodating. They were so polite asked if we needed help bringing things in to set up the venue on the morning, showed us around where to go, they were very happy for us to decorate, and decorate we did haha. They were brilliant during the party and then after the event was over I spoke to two very lovely ladies who were insistent on tidying away so we could go home, they were so lovely and there comments on the decorations and our wedding outfits was so lovely. I would recommend again. Thankyou so so much for being so lovely 😍

  The mixed grill was awful. The steak over cooked and very fatty. The chicken was so small and thin it was like rubber. Fried eggs was like flying saucers. Chips and onion rings over cooked. To say it was costing £18.99 was a total joke.
