Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

There is never any food every time i come here and when there is it is freezing cold, to be a popular fast food chain it’s appalling especially when this place is always busy. do better.

Dirty, poor service and cold food.
For what appeared to be a relatively new build it was surprisingly run down and dirty. Bins over flowing, dirty tables and just not a nice place to be.
Customer service was poor, felt like we were an inconvenience asking for food and took a while to be serve even though the shop was empty.

I literally get a vanilla matcha everyday from high chelmer and love them. Today they accidentally served me one with no vanilla, absolutely fine mistakes happen. Called and they seemed okay ish, although the colleague said they did put vanilla in, I completely get being annoyed at me as a customer, but you literally just didn’t?! They then said I could come and collect another one (annoying after I’ve paid for delivery on a product I couldn’t even drink but fine I get it) and they passive aggressively put loads of vanilla in it like I was an idiot that just couldn’t tell. Now it’s got too much vanilla in and I can’t even drink it, my partner picked it up and said the first guy was fine but he heard them pushing the vanilla down loads. I literally never leave a bad review but I’m hormonal and upset that my one day off was ruined by this. I just wanted the normal vanilla latte that I’ve paid for. It’s really upset me, I’m pregnant and my one craving is just a normal vanilla iced latte the same one I get every day. I haven’t been rude, just wanted what I ordered fgs.. Just had one sip of it, thrown it away and got my partner to drive me straight into town and got one from high chelmer which was instantly fine. Won’t ever be using this Greggs ever again

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
