  Great fresh fish and chips, however portions are very small compared to other local chip shops.

  Opened up my food to come across a long hair sitting in between my sausage & chips. Called up churchills only to be welcomed by attitude from the person on the phone after telling them my issue with the food, after explaining the issue I got told ‘not my issue you’ll have to contact Deliveroo’ I asked if they wear hair nets as it’s hygiene while working with food ‘no it’s not our standard to wear them just given a cap’ major red flag there! Tried telling me only 1 person is working there so ‘couldn’t be my hair not sure how that got in your food’ need to sort out your staff and apply the correct measures when it comes to working with food hands on! No hygiene at all is disgusting. Simple as that

  The cod was delicious as was the batter and chips. The batter was light and crunchy all throughout my meal, the back of the batter was cooked as well, no soggy white stuff. The chips were not soaked in oil at all, instead they were expertly cooked. The oil it was all cooked in was really nice and the meal as served was probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten and at my age that must be thousands lol 😆

  I always enjoy purchasing my fish and chips from Billericay. Fred has a great personality, friendly, professional and a very hard worker. The cod is always amazing , cooked to perfection. The chips are par boiled which makes them crispy on the outside but still soft and light on the inside.,All the staff are friendly, the chippy is very clean and the staff are very well presented. I do not think this chippy would be the same without Fred. Everyone that visits the shop knows him. Fred is very popular with his customers. I feel very lucky to be part of this community. A Huge Thank You to you Fred for your commitment, community spirit , dedication and your lovely welcome when my family and I come into your chippy. I would definitely recommend My Chippy Billericay to friends and family. 👍👏

  Great service this evening from the gentleman behind the counter. He explained the Food was cooked fresh to order. Let us sit at a table even though they were clearing up. He was so accommodating. Thank you
