People may often moan but don't bother to highlight the good service received that goes above and beyond. Well I am going to change that. I went to Pitsea Tesco on Sat quite early and had a run in with a pot of double cream. The biggest sized one. I lost.
Although I had (very fortunately) put my shopping in the huge tub I had just picked up on entry to the store, the cream ran through and all over my pile of shopping.
Enter Kofi the cleaner to the rescue who just happened (fortunately again for me), to be in the right place at the right time. As I stopped him in passing to ask if he had some paper towels I might use, he did no more than take stock of my predicament and then took control of my mess.
I didn't expect or ask Kofi to clean up after me, but bless him he just did it willingly together with a smile on his face. He cleaned every bit of cream covered shopping and packed it back in the trolly. He was an absolute god given angel to me in my moment of need and total embarrassment.
So take a bow Kofi as this is a very well deserved thank you from me. You really saved and made my day with your kindness. I do hope Tesco appreciate what a credit and valuable member of staff you are to their Pitsea team.

The toilets omg they stink and are pure filth and that’s just after the cleaner has been to clean them!! The women’s hand washing station is ridiculous keeps squirting more soap at my hands whilst trying to rinse off and then the dryer blows the suds and water out onto the floor and me! The floor is always very wet in that area and I have fallen over because of that reason.
The store is not clean and 85-90% of the staff look depressed or like zombies. One man in particular keeps crossing in front of my mobility scooter and leaves the big stock trolleys right in the way if I drive I’d go elsewhere.
Come on Tesco sort it out!!

The staff at the checkouts need to find a personality, asked a member of staff if she would mind removing a security tag and if looks could kill i would be not here
This aint he first time, management need to have a word with there customer service skill. Be grateful you have a job and out a smile in your face, I sound 200 quid a week in this store and want to be treated better then that.

Just ordered breakfast for my wife and I, spending just under£20 only to sit at a table that is absolutely filthy. Every table that was empty had the same issue or worse. One of the biggest companies in the country can't supply an extra member of staff at peak periods but is great at putting prices up daily!!
Not blaming the current staff but definitely condemning the management!

I've been shopping here for years and it's becoming more of a struggle since Covid.
They used to have doors in the middle of the store for taxi pick ups but closed them during lock down. Now the only way in or out is through the main doors which can be tricky if you need the post office or the couple of other shop fronts behind the tills as you have to get through the crowd of people who have just finished shopping and to to exit as quick as possible.
Once I get a trolley I have to negotiate the online pickers who like to stop and chat to each other while I try and go down an isle or get items from a shelf. After that finding a checkout that's open is always fun.
Once finished the trolley has to be wheeled from the main exit around the side of the shop while fighting to keep it on the path as it sloops into the carpark to get a taxi from what used to be the middle doors.
The bench has now gone so there is no where to sit while you wait for a taxi and when it does come you now have to walk across the carpark to return the trolley to get your £1 back as there is no trolley park at the waitting area.
My advice is if you have physical problem and require public transport than shop at Asda, Lidl or Aldi.
