Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Be warned this is a franchise .
My breakfast meal costing a whopping 70p more than usual.
Quite frankly to me is a rip off .
At £4.35 for a breakfast meal instead of £3.65 i expected alot more than overcooked sausages and undercooked bacon.

Another Greggs store that claims the coffee loyalty cards are no longer being issued to the public and are actively attempting to firce people into using the app. I have email evidence from Greggs customer services reassuring me that there are no plans at all not now or in the future of withdrawing the coffee loyalty cards in replacement of the Greggs app. All Greggs stores should be either accepting, stamping or providing the cards were possible.
I reiterate that not everyone wants or has the Greggs app, Wether that's because they are elderly or just don't want the endless spam offers.
For that reason I have rated this Greggs two stars overall.

One star review, only due to having to listen to a Scottish lady member of staff bossing around the staff members there. Really not good. It's all you can hear whilst you wait for your drink from the machine. Sorry but I wont be going back any time soon.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
