About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Most horrible and absolutely racist behaviour i have ever experienced. I went in with my partner and yes we aren’t english but we can speak english LOL, after ordering our food we weren’t even asked if we want it as takeaway or we want to eat in, the old lady who was working there just packed out food and we paid and then as we had other plans for the evening we thought of sitting and eat there and while me and my partner were kist discussing about what to do, a voice appeared us rudely saying “there’s a different price for eating in here” i mean old lady we wouldn’t mind paying those extra fiver or whatever to sit and eat there if we were informed at first and second we didnt even decide by then what to do so u could have been nicer… my whole point is if you hate ur job, life is miserable or having a bad day dont transfer it to someone else. Thank you

0 stars isn't available so had to pick 1. Majority of staff must have broken fingers and can't operate the "hot" button for their "hot" food. It tastes like it came straight out of the fridge, and it doesn't matter what time of the day you go to eat it will still be cold, so stay disappointed before you even get there. They are always out of products and none of the staff seem to know how or why, they are also very rude and blunt and look as if they don't even want to work at greggs so I advise them, don't! If you don't like your job and cannot be bothered to have to smallest amount of manners towards the public then I suggest you stop ruining the experience for other people, pack your bags and leave! Not only is it the food, but the staffs attitude also leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Do better!

Handy for a lovely quick snack or something to take home, vegetarians be aware, one of the veggie bakes is fake beef, it is too reminiscent of the memory of beef so much so I went back with it the next day to complain only to find out it's flavoured Quorn, I've been vegetarian for 40 years so I was shocked and embarrassed, not my cup of tea to eat fake meat, the staff were very kind and understanding and replaced it with a cheese and onion bake, so thank you and my apologies

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
