- AHAaron HarizSep 23, 20265.0best coffee in the south
- GMGary MeadSep 5, 20265.0Great coffee and cake. I fully recommend this place, it’s very popular which is what initially encouraged me to try it.
- LTLinda TaylorSep 4, 20261.0Tried this new place for Eggs Royale, but unfortunately it was disappointing. Staff weren’t that friendly and didn’t smile at all. The presentation was good, and I was looking forward to it, but the smoked salmon had a lot of dark brown/grey bits throughout it, which affected both the taste and quality. It didn’t seem like good-quality salmon and made the dish unpleasant to eat. It’s a shame because the poached eggs and hollandaise were nice, but the main ingredient let the whole meal down. Hopefully it’s something they improve on! Wouldn’t eat that again! Especially for £12!
- ALAli D LuffyAug 28, 20265.0I never write reviews for places I eat, but when I had the very berry pancakes I knew that it would be a great injustice if I did not write one. The temperature of the pancake and food was just right and hit all the right spots. Service was great as usual. I highly recommend Esquires to anyone wanting a great coffee spot.
- AKAngus KitchinAug 9, 20264.0Very popular venue with really nice coffee. Cakes were a bit dry (but it was a hot day). The poached egg with avocado and bacon (or haloumi) was very nice, but I would have preferred softer yolk and slices of avocado rather than avocado mush thinned down with whatever they thinned it down with. Service was good and the staff were helpful. Outside tables are for smokers at the front only. Outside tables on the side are non-smoking (but there aren't very many).
