  I recently visited this Subway branch and it was an extremely poor experience from start to finish. The restaurant was visibly unclean upon entering, which is unacceptable for a food establishment. Despite several staff members being present, there was a clear lack of organisation. They appeared confused and inefficient, resulting in a long queue and an unreasonable wait time just to be served. While the portion sizes were generous, the quality of preparation was poor. The potatoes looked as though no care had been taken with them at all. The worst part of the visit was the staff attitude. They were rude and unprofessional throughout. The manageress in particular was dismissive and outright obnoxious. When I raised a simple concern about the lack of cheese, she showed no interest in resolving the issue and responded with a poor attitude. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Poor hygiene, disorganised staff, and unacceptable customer service. I will not be returning and would not recommend this branch to others.

  I visited this Subway during the afternoon lunch rush and had a really nice experience. Even though it was busy, the staff were friendly and handled everything smoothly. Sapna made my sandwich and did a great job, it was wonderful and exactly how I wanted it. Uday at the till was polite and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. Overall, I’m really happy with the service and will definitely visit again!

  Staff not happy they had no sausage or eggs lady tried to sell me something else as couldn't be bothered to sort the egg

  Ordered a subway online and paid £5 for double meat (I was hungry) only to get hardly any at all. I was very upset lol.

  Terrible service, extra slow, rude staff who don’t care at all. Miserable atmosphere, unclean. If you order gluten free here please DO NOT, the staff do not know how to handle or prepare gluten free - no wiping down surfaces etc and cross contamination everywhere. The sandwiches are really sad with lack of filling and salad, really dry too. All other Subways in York are 100% better than this one - save your money and go elsewhere
