I visited this Subway branch on Saturday, 23 May, around 2:10 PM. A new staff member kindly offered to add a little extra salad to my sandwich, but the manager suddenly scolded him in front of me, seemingly intending for me to hear it. This made the atmosphere very uncomfortable and unpleasant. In my opinion, the manager needs proper customer service training. Is this really an appropriate way to treat customers?

I would give this place a 0 if i could. The staff, customer service and atmosphere were awful. I came today and went to order with the staff and she told me we dont take orders you need to use the kiosk. Then another staff came and said the policy has changed you need to use the kiosk. I asked when this policy changed he told me a month ago but i came on Saturday last week and the gentleman working was serving me fine and didn’t mention about a policy. The staff then told me “it’s because he likes to do it and we dont like to do it” he basically contradicted himself because stated it was a policy but then said it was because they dont like to serve people which is absolutely crazy to here!!! If this policy is true i think it’s ridiculous and people should not be forced to use tech. For a business not to have human interaction is insane. The staff gave me his name “IMAN “ but it’s probably false…

Great staff and really flexible
Only downside would be that their kiosks sometimes don't really work

The shop felt clean if a bit too bright, staff were friendly, prices good and staff friendly. BUT the ordering experience ruined the experience, and I'm unlikely to return.
It seems Subway is slowly trying to be McDonalds but forgetting they are different and their distinctive. They are also being cheap with ordering systems.
1. The screens partly block getting to the counters and face away from the screens telling you about deals/options or even the ingredients and extras
2. They take more force than other systems to press and are slow to move to the next stage. So slow, several people were frustrated and one person left
3. The amount of choices you make getting a sub are significant - while McDs you know and are just adding or removing an item. Much better would be showing a sandwich being layered
4. The payment was very slow and failed on my first card (tried another - same bank account ... first card then worked afterwards in Tesco)
5. No option to order at the counter - removing the element of choice
6. The order being prepared/ready screen was blank
Basically this shop is fine, but the corporate ordering system isn't. And it is the first experience which blocks you getting to the staff, food and positive things.
Subway has forgotten that people's time is valuable, this on-screen ordering process is slow and frustrating .. worse than waiting in a queue to talk to a person.
